Road trip planning
Planning a last-minute road trip can be spontaneous and exciting, but there are just a few things to consider before you leave so you can have the best trip possible.
Download your music.
If you don't have unlimited data on your phone you're not going to want to burn through it as you listen to your favorite music and podcasts.
Even if you do have unlimited data, you're going to want to download your music for when you go through areas with spotty service. You can even download videos from some of your favorite streaming services for those in the backseat. How to download everything from your favorite streaming service.
And while you're at it, don't forget your phone charger for your car.
Know your road trip games.
Whether you're a kid or an adult, road trips can get boring. How do you maintain sanity while driving for hours? Try some of these games you can do without needing any extra supplies.
Guess the Song
You can play this a couple different ways. Play a song and whoever shouts out the title first wins.
Alternately, have someone say the words of a song, without singing the tune, and everyone else has to guess.
Alphabet Game
Look for each letter of the alphabet on passing signs, passing cars, billboards, etc. Whoever sees it first shouts it out and then everyone starts looking for the next letter. The only rule is it has to be outside the car.
License Plate Game
Interpret the letters in each license plate you pass. You can interpret them as an acronym: ABT could be "Always Brings Tacos" or "About." Whoever shouts something out first wins.
