Make your own sugar-free Sweetened Condensed Milk at home with our Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener and a few other simple ingredients.
Sweetened condensed milks are predominantly made of carbs and a little fat, with most of those calories coming from sugar. Fortunately, you can easily make your own sugar-free version which is like the real thing.
The texture is thick and velvety and pours easily. It’s very sweet and creamy, and perfect to use as you would with traditional sweetened condensed milk. This will keep in a covered glass jar for up to 4 weeks in your refrigerator.
With less than one Net Carb you can give your favorite recipes a makeover using Lakanto’s version of Sweetened Condensed Milk
Ingredients for Sugar-Free Condensed Milk:
2 ½ cups heavy cream (full fat is needed)
¼ c butter
¾ c Lakanto Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions for Sugar-Free Condensed Milk:
- Bring the heavy cream to a light boil on medium high heat, stirring every 1-2 minutes to keep it from boiling over. Boil lightly for about 10 minutes to evaporate the cream.
- Lower the heat to medium low and whisk in the butter, Lakanto Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener and vanilla extract. Keep whisking until the butter is fully melted.
- Keep on this low boil for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened and reduced. The longer you let it simmer, the thicker it will become. Keep the heat low so the bottom of the pan does not scorch.
- Let cool in pan for 30 minutes and then transfer to a glass jar and cool completely before refrigerating. Sugar-Free Sweetened Condensed milk can be used immediately or stored until use. Makes 6 cups. 6, ⅓ cup se

This is so wonderful! Many recipes call for condensed milk but the sugar content is so high and this recipe with the Monk Fruit makes everything so much for everyone, especially those that must reduce their intake of sugar because of health reasons. Thank you so very much!!!!!
Ooh! That’s a great idea! I don’t see why you couldn’t substitute unsweetened coconut cream. It’s already a bit condensed so it might take less time to reduce.
In the past, I have not had success even with the two to one ratio in making syrups. I tried to make raspberry cordial to add to lemonade (to satisfy my Anne of Green Gables moments) but it crystallized in the fridge.
I was told, at the time, to use Lakanto Allulose instead. I had a question from another person (who directed me to this recipe) who used the powder and still ended up with a crystallized solid condensed milk in the fridge. I’m wondering if she didn’t keep the temperature low enough,as I know too much heat can affect the final product. The other part of my brain says I should just use the Lakanto simple sugar syrup (Allulose) or the Lakanto Allulose instead of the powdered. I’d appreciate feedback. Thank you!
This did not work for me. The milk solidified in the refrigerator. I was not able to use it in my coffee at all.
This is OUTSTANDING!!! This has changed my coffee life forever!! I actually had to use the granulated monkfruit because that’s all I had but it turned out perfect. My husband and I always crave the coffee we had on vacation with sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon but we have to cut back on our sugar intake. This recipe has given us a gift!! Thank you!!
Got a “NON- DAIRY” SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK RECIPE by any chance?
