There’s nothing quite like the nostalgic flavor of a classic s’more — gooey marshmallows, melted chocolate, and crisp graham crackers all layered together into the perfect sweet treat. This homemade version takes everything you love about traditional campfire s’mores and gives it a delicious sugar-free twist with Lakanto sweeteners and a creamy peanut butter filling. Perfect for backyard gatherings, movie nights, or satisfying a dessert craving without the added sugar, these Peanut Butter S’mores are rich, comforting, and surprisingly easy to make at home.

What makes these s’mores extra special is the homemade sugar-free marshmallows paired with a simple peanut butter spread made from Lakanto Peanut Butter Powder. The peanut butter layer adds a creamy, slightly salty flavor that balances perfectly with the sweetness of the marshmallows and chocolate.
Whether you toast the marshmallows over a fire or use the quick oven broiler method, these s’mores come together in minutes and deliver that classic warm, melty texture everyone loves. Homemade sugar-free marshmallows can be a little softer and more delicate than store-bought varieties, but they toast beautifully when handled gently.
This recipe is also easy to customize. Try using dark chocolate for a richer flavor, swap in your favorite sugar-free chocolate squares, or add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for an elevated sweet-and-salty finish. These treats are fun for both kids and adults and make a great dessert for summer gatherings, camping trips, or cozy nights at home.
Ingredients

Use Lakanto’s Sugar-Free Homemade Marshmallows with Lakanto Classic Allulose recipe.
For the Peanut Butter Spread
- 1/2 cup Lakanto Peanut Butter Powder
- 3 tablespoons water, plus more as needed
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For Assembly
- 24 graham cracker squares
- 12 pieces sugar-free or no-sugar-added chocolate
- 12 Lakanto sugar-free marshmallows
Instructions
Make the Marshmallows
Prepare the Lakanto sugar-free marshmallows according to the recipe instructions. Allow them to set for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before cutting into 12 marshmallows.
Make the Peanut Butter Spread
1. In a small bowl, stir together the Lakanto Peanut Butter Powder, water, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
2. The spread should be thick and spreadable, similar to a soft peanut butter filling. If needed, add more water 1 teaspoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Assemble the S’mores
1. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter spread onto 12 graham cracker squares.
2. Top each with one piece of chocolate.
3. Toast the marshmallows until golden and warm. Homemade sugar-free marshmallows may be more delicate than traditional marshmallows, so toast carefully and avoid holding them over direct heat for too long.
4. Place one toasted marshmallow over each piece of chocolate, then top with the remaining graham cracker squares.
5. Gently press together and serve immediately.
Optional Oven Method
1. Preheat the broiler. Place 12 graham cracker squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
2. Spread each graham cracker with peanut butter spread, then top with chocolate and one marshmallow.
3. Broil for 30 to 60 seconds, watching closely, until the marshmallows are golden and the chocolate begins to soften.
4. Top with the remaining graham cracker squares and serve warm.
